Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 July 2026
The short version: Babies Diaries is free for families, your memories stay yours, be kind with what you upload, and our growth charts are a keepsake — not a doctor.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using Babies Diaries at babiesdiaries.com or through our apps, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. The service
Babies Diaries is a private diary for recording a child's milestones, growth, health notes and photo memories, and sharing them with family members you invite. The service is currently free for families. We may introduce optional paid features in the future; nothing you have already saved will be held hostage behind a paywall.
3. Your account
You must be an adult to create an account, and the information you register with must be accurate. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Children do not use Babies Diaries directly — their diary is created and controlled by their parents or guardians.
4. Your content stays yours
Every entry, photo and record you add belongs to you. You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the service — storing your content and displaying it to you and the family members you invite. We claim no other rights to it, and the licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
Only upload content you have the right to share, and only invite people who should genuinely see a child's diary.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't upload anything unlawful, abusive or harmful — this is a place for family memories.
- Don't attempt to access another family's diary or probe the service's security.
- Don't use the service to spam, scrape or resell data.
- Don't impersonate someone else or create accounts for anyone but yourself.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, protecting the families who use the service as intended.
6. Sharing and roles
When you invite someone, you choose what they can do — co-parents and editors can add and edit content, viewers can only look. The diary's owner controls access and can revoke it at any time. If your access to someone else's diary is revoked, your own account and any diaries you own are unaffected.
7. Not medical advice
Growth charts, percentiles and health logs in Babies Diaries are a family keepsake and record-keeping aid — they are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Percentiles are computed against published WHO and CDC references and depend entirely on the numbers you enter. Always consult your doctor or health visitor about your child's health and growth.
8. Service availability
We work hard to keep Babies Diaries fast, safe and available, but the service is provided "as is" and we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We recommend keeping your own copies of irreplaceable photos. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us for it (currently: nothing).
9. Ending things
You can stop using Babies Diaries and delete your account at any time, which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may close accounts that violate these terms. If we ever wind the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to take your memories with you.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and notify you by email or in the app before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
